2014 Lenten Energy Fast

“Take good care of creation. St. Francis wanted that. People occasionally forgive, but nature never does. If we don't take care of the environment, there's no way of getting around it."

– Pope Francis, Earth Day 2013

Drawing on Catholic Social Teaching, climate change science and scripture readings (Cycle A), this resource includes a weekly commentary, reflection questions and prayer suggestions to guide the reader through the Lenten Season in  consideration of climate justice.  Included are suggestions for an Energy Fast, and Forty Ways in Forty Days to cut personal energy use.  Suitable for use by individuals or communities.
